04Scoring

How scoring works

Every putt is scored in strokes gained (SG) against tour expected putts from that distance. From the 10 putt drill, tour expected is 18.22. To post a positive SG score you will need to hole 2 of the 10 putts and finish inside the speed window with all other 8 putts. Each time the window is missed −0.2 SG is deducted from your score.

The interactive scorecard in the web app calculates your score automatically.

06The report

Your report

When the ten are done the app builds your report. This one holed 2, left the other 8 in the window and scored +0.22 SG.

It shows your score by distance, every putt in order and your miss tendency. Here 6 of 8 misses went right. Save it as a PDF and track it over time.

07The benchmarks

What’s a good score?

Your score is in strokes gained against the tour’s 18.22 putts for the ten. Zero means you matched the tour. Hole 2 and leave the other 8 in the window and you post +0.22.

Every miss outside the window costs 0.2. Get the speed right first and the holes will come.
